‘Champion’ Shatta Wale Should Focus On Music Not ‘Beefs’ – Nana Acheampong

Highlife legend Nana Acheampong has counseled dancehall artiste Shatta Wale to concentrate on his music career and avoid beefing with Wizkid.

Shatta Wale, last week made entertainment news headlines for saying he does not see Nigerian artiste Wizkid as a superstar unlike other Ghanaians who get star struck when they see the ‘Holla at your boy’ hit maker. This generated a trolling war between fans of Shatta Wale and Wizkid.

Reacting to this on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM, Nana Acheampong who disclosed he was about working on collaboration with the dancehall artiste advised Shatta Wale to concentrate on his music and avoid such encounters with other artistes.

“Shatta Wale is champion in dancehall just like Nana Acheampong is also a champion. So I’ll beseech him to be patient and concentrate on his music. He’s very good; he should continue doing what he does best. I don’t know a lot about the beef with Wizkid but he should end it and concentrate on his music because he’s too good,” he told show host, Bismark Boachie aka DJ Premier.

“That aside, I’ll advise up and coming musicians to be patient because to succeed is about loving your fans and vice versa because without the fans, you can’t make it,” he added.

Nana Acheampong has been in the music industry for 26 years with 26 albums to his credit. He is known for hit songs like Abu aka mesim, Casanova, Kata w'ani te, Deobrenodi, Nipa, Se eye wode, Obibini mu obibini, Ever ready, Odo yarea, Meko odo nkyen, I go die for you, Mansusu saa, Ako me square, Brebre Obaahemaa, Wo wone hwan and a lot more.

The veteran musician is out with a new single, titled “My Baby”.
