MP Donates Items To Constituency

The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency, Hon George Mireku Duker has donated items worth thousands of cedis to some communities and schools in his constituency.

The items include roofing sheets, Plastic chairs, streetlights, educational dual chairs, sewing machines, hair dryers among others.

George Mireku Duker presented about 200 educational dual chairs to Dompim Methodist JHS School, SDA JHS School and other schools in his constituency. 20 streetlights were also donated to the unit committee members and 30 plastic chairs to the chief palace.

The hardworking Member of Parliament and his team also visited the Nkwanta-Kyekywere electoral area where 20 streetlights were donated to the assemblyman and the unit committee. 60 plastic chairs and 20 street bulbs were also presented to Essaman and New Atuabo community.

The municipal educational director, Mr. Duah and his circuit supervisors were delighted for the MP’s gesture.

The people of Simpa electoral areas were not left out during the donations – they were presented with 20 streetlights.

The MP’s apprenticeship program in the constituency was inaugurated with 100 trainees to be trained in vocational skills.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Duker charged the trainees to be respectful to their trainers and be dedicated to their training.

"It is very important that you respect your teachers and be mindful of what comes out of your mouth because the tongue is very powerful and can make and unmake you. So my brothers and sisters my doors are open to you all to receive you, if any of you have a problem, don't hesitate to come to my office" he said

The chairman of the program, Nana Attobrah II was very delighted for the good initiative by their member of parliament.

The lawmaker also fulfilled a promise to Space FM Christmas gala committee by giving them 5 set of football Jersey, 5 footballs and GHC2, 000.
