Why I Think Homosexuality Is Wrong - Rt Rev. Dr Nana Anyani-Boadum

Considering the financial constraints on our national budget, should we encourage a lifestyle that will certainly put much stress on our budget?

And soon, budget allocation to victims of homosexual practices shall also become an electoral issue, whereas maternal health units are struggling to financially cope with labour complications and pregnancies, with child health units, theatre facilities for obstetric surgical interventions not readily available!

We live in a very challenging time of human history, the period the Bible refers to as the "end time". This period is characterised by the appearances of multiplicity of humanistic philosophies.

Like any false economic, social or religious doctrine, the venom of humanistic philosophies is deadliest when it comes into contact with ignorance.

The ignorance of sincere, but grossly mistaken people, is a pitiful sight to behold. In today's non-descript generation, where passion replaces reason and everybody is a law to himself, we need to revisit the art and science of critical thinking and tell the truth to our children, not only by our words but by our actions and behaviour since our inconsistencies will be magnified in our children as they step into the world stage.

The ultimate test of our civilisation is what we do to correct the wrongs in society and how we handle the generation coming after us. We need to remind ourselves that there are certain boundaries that cannot be crossed with impunity. There is no fruitfulness in a life that provides limitless possibilities without some parameters.

Homosexuality

Backed by the entertainment industry and sections of the mainstream media in the Western countries, homosexuals vigorously portray homosexuality as a normal and healthy relationship which is equivalent to heterosexual practice, but that position is not only deceptive but is polar opposite with the reality.

The truth is that homosexuals and lesbian relationships are typically characterised by instability, promiscuity, and risky practices; factors that greatly increase the incidence of serious and incurable sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

The vagina vis-a-vis the rectum

Every human part or organ was made to perform a specific function.

The female vagina has certain advantages compared to the rectum which functions as a passage for the expulsion of fecal matter. The vaginal area does things relatively sterile as compared to the rectum.

Interestingly, even if a woman in cleaning herself does not do it properly, and introduces fecal matter into the vaginal area, it could lead to an infection.

The composition of fecal matter involves a blend of various bacteria and other organisms.

The vagina, as compared to the rectum, can expand to accommodate things as large as a baby’s head and naturally return to its normal size.

This has got to do with the muscle layers and anatomy of the area as compared to the rectal anatomy, and specifically, the anal canal whose sphincter is unable to go through such versatile manoeuvres as the vagina.

The rectum is significantly different from the vagina with regard to suitability for penetration by a penis. The vagina has natural lubricants and is supported by a network of muscles. It is composed of membranes that allow it to endure friction without damage and to resist the immunological actions caused by semen and sperm.

In comparison, the anus is a delicate mechanism of small muscles that comprise an "exit-only" passage. With repeated trauma, friction and stretching, the sphincter loses its tone and its ability to maintain a tight seal and, therefore, cannot hold the stool (toilet or fecal incontinence), and so such a person has to resort to the use of diapers. Consequently, anal intercourse leads to leakage of fecal material that can easily become chronic.

Due to the relatively simple connection between the anus, intestines and, therefore, blood, organisms that are introduced into the rectum have a much easier time establishing a foothold for infection than they would in a vagina.

The anatomy of the anal canal cannot withstand the friction associated with penile penetration, resulting in traumas that expose both participants to blood, organisms in feces, and a mixing of bodily fluids. Interestingly, even the nerves arranged around these places vary so much that, with the normal passage of hard stool (constipation) the forceful dilatation of the anal sphincter causes much pain to the person.

Such pains are even sometimes intolerable for those few seconds; however the normal vagina is able to accommodate greater pains than that.

Immunosuppressive effects, semen/sperm

Furthermore, ejaculation has components that are immunosuppressive.

This is what allows the sperm to evade the immune defenses of the female and reach the female egg.

In homosexual relationships, the recipient’s anal sphincter is repeatedly and forcefully subjected to dilatations, and the discharge of semen into the canal also has its disadvantages coupled with the possible exposure and contact of the male penis to human waste.

The fragility of the anus and rectum, along with the immunosuppressive effect of ejaculation, makes anal-genital intercourse a most efficient manner of transmitting HIV and other infections.

The list of diseases found with extraordinary frequency among male homosexuals as a result of anal intercourse includes; Anal Cancer,Chlamydia trachomatis,Cryptosporidium,Giardia lamblia,Human immunodeficiency virus, Human papilloma virus, Gonorrhea, syphilis,Viral hepatitis types B & C,hemorrhoids, anal fissures, etc, etc.

This should rule out the use of the anal canal for sex. Why would any person want to subject himself to such inhuman treatment to satisfy a sexual desire?

Sexual imbalance among homosexuals

In sexual relationship between men and women, each person balances and compliments the other by providing what is lacking in the other. In pair-pairing between same-sex relationship, there is no such balance.

The pairing of identicals propels them to emotional extremes and not balance.

The lack of sexual balance and satisfaction pushes lesbians to make intense demands on their partners. Male homosexuals experience the most damaging effects of sexual imbalance. Instead of the sex drive of the man being balanced by the emotional needs of the woman, male homosexuals reinforce the sex drive of one another. This informs the compulsive behaviour of male homosexuals.

Most times, for homosexuals to get maximum satisfaction, they use all kinds of foreign bodies such as creams and oils with chemical components and resort to a homosexual activity known as fisting – insertion of the hand or forearm into the rectum which leads to anal tears, etc.

All these sexual activities, including oral sex, have serious physical and mental effects on homosexuals. When homosexuals reach the point where they are faced with the realities of health hazards, with what they considered fantasy turned to be no more the case, they experience depression, reduced immunity, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse such as excessive intake of alcohol, smoking and reckless sexual behaviour-promiscuity, decreased lifespan and of course HIV/AIDS, herpes and oral cancers.

Human Rights

To those of you who defend the rights of homosexuals, most male homosexuals are bi-sexual as well. The question is, do they tell their female partners about their bi-sexual status?

If they don't, does the woman in question have a human rights or not? Let us stop joking about human rights.

The discussion regarding homosexuals and lesbians should be centered on the issue of public health, not discrimination, civil or human rights.
