Beware of Fake Bitters - Research Scientist Cautions(VIDEO)
Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL) has sent a strong word of caution to its customers about the very alarming influx of fake bitters in the country.
There are over 50 bitters in town, and do you think you have chosen the right Bitters, you, which wouldn't be harmful to your health?
According to Dr. Osafo-Mensah Stevens, the Research & Development Manager at the leading Ghanaian-owned beverage manufacturer Kasapreko Company Limited has cautioned consumers or general public to be careful of some kind of bitters they consume or drink.
Dr. Osafo-Mensah said; "some bitters manufacturers claim to produce the best bitters but when you shake the bottle and and the drink foams for over ten minutes it might be a sign of worry.
Dr. Osafo Mensah , who has worked over 30 years with the center for scientific research into plant medicine, Mampong, Akwapim intimated that in the practice of herbal pharmacology if Saponis is added to alcohol and it foams for more than two minutes then a further investigation must be established. The researcher, who studied at KNUST and University of Glasgow went on to demonstrate how to distinguish good Bitters from fake ones.
