Italy Provides € 25m Grant For Ghana’s Private Sector Development

The Italian government has granted the Government of Ghana € 25 million for the development of Small and Medium Scale businesses in the country.

The facility is expected to identify and tap into business prospects in all over the country.

This was announced by the visiting Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni at the seat of government Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

The money is expected to be administered to business entities by the Finance Ministry.

The Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni who disclosed the grant said the Italian government is interested in developing the Small and Medium Scale businesses in Ghana, noting that the right participation from the private sector could drive industrialization and the economy of the country.

Paolo Gentiloni arrived in the country Tuesday for a two-day official state visit.
