The Vice President Doesn't Need To Distance Himself From Any Statement!

A group calling itself the Concerned Muslim Youth of Ghana appears to have its nerves jangled by the interview President Akufo-Addo granted to Aljazeera.

They have therefore called on the Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to distance himself from what they term as a subtle endorsement of homosexuality by President Akufo-Addo as, according to them, the practice is not only inimical to the health of those who blindly engage themselves in it but also goes against the grain as regards Islamic doctrines.

In a statement presented to the press, the group expressed utter shock at the President's interview with  Aljazeera, saying that they are convinced that what the President said was tantamount to an overwhelming endorsement of that abominable phenomenon however subtle it may have appeared.

To this end, they have called on the Vice President and Alhaji Boniface Sadique Abubakar to resist the position of the President if they are true Muslims who believe in the teachings of Prophet Mohammed as captured by the Qur'an.

Their burgeoning zeal to twist the statement the President gave to suit a tendentious and devilish agenda is responsible for this adopted stance.

Considering the jaundiced interpretation they've given to the interview, one is left with no flicker of doubt that this group is ghostly at best, and that it was invented a few days ago just to serve a certain purpose.

Critically observing the posturing of this group, it has all the designs of some NDC youths contracted to foment a negative image for the President and his Vice.

The idea is to incite the Muslim community against the governing party in general and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia specifically.

This is nothing but a malicious distortion of the true facts contained in the President's interview. Not a single word or sentence ferried the notion being propagagated by this recently invented youth association.

Discerning Ghanaians, especially, Muslims, would not be swayed by this deliberate contortion of the issues the President spoke to, and would therefore not require the Vice President of the Republic to divorce himself from.

The NDC can raise as many groups as they so much yearn to do, drape them in shiny suits and label them with soothing names and send them out there with the sole mandate to make a huge mountain out of this molehill, discerning minds would not swallow these lies hook, line and sinker.

This so-called Concerned Muslim Youth of Ghana should stop moping about and find something useful to occupy their times with.

Dr. Bawumia doesn't need to dislodge himself from any statement of the President because President Akufo-Addo did not endorse any homosexuality as it's being bruited around by the NDC and their acolytes.
