Hearts of Oak Start Pre-Season Training Without Scottish Coach

Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak started their pre-season training on Monday without their trainer Frank Nuttal, sparking concerns over the future of the Scottish coach.

The Phobians returned to training to begin preparations for the coming season but the absence of the impressive has raised eyebrows that there might be underlying problems.

Nuttal is unhappy over the lack recruitment of top talent and the lack of direction is said to have been the cause of his decision not to return from Scotland where he has been holidaying.

Assistant Coach Henry Lamptey together with goalkeepers’ trainer James Jerry and Team Manager Sabahn Quaye led the session involving first team players and recently promoted Auroras trio, Manaf Gumah, Philip Heymann, and goalkeeper Richard Baidoo.

Team Hearts kicked off pre-season training at the Legon Ajax Park this morning, keeping to the original scheduled date.

The Phobians went on a six-week holiday, a day after the MTN FA CUP finals, but the players have reconvened to begin preparations for the new season.

Hearts are scheduled to battle Kotoko in the return encounter of the Ghana at 60 Cup on the 24th December, 2017 at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
