VVIP Boycotts Shatta Wale’s Shows… Calls For Prayers For Him

Prominent musician and member of VVIP, Prodigal, has called for prayers for Shatta Wale and also announced that VVIP will be boycotting shows Shatta  Wale will be appearing on.

According to him, unless Shatta changes his unruly behaviour towards other Ghanaian musicians, they won’t share the same stage with him, no matter the amount of money involved.

“Where Ghana music is going now is not the right way. You can’t disrespect other musicians just to get what you want. Me and my crew will never be on any show Shatta Wale is on. Whether they are paying us millions or whatever, unless the guy checks his attitude and the vibe is right,” Prodigal said on Hitz FM on Monday morning.

He also supported calls by fellow musician, Tic Tac, to investigate Shatta for “publicly shooting a gun to threaten Nigerian musicians”.

The controversial dancehall artiste while performing at the S-Concert on Friday took jabs at some top musicians in the country, including Obrafour, Tic Tac, VVIP and others.

In his comment at the show, Shatta created the impression the aforementioned artistes don’t have anything and are envious of him.

Prodigal found it disrespectful he mentioned VVIP on the platform and was also outraged by how Shatta Wale took swipe at other artistes without knowing what is happening in their lives.

“I won’t come and brag about what I have. My first house I bought my family didn’t know about it. I don’t brag… If you don’t know people’s story you don’t come on air about it. Shatta is the last person to come out and disrespect us when it comes to rich and poor. When you talk riches my riches is life,” he stated.

Prodigal added, “We love him as a brother but people around him are using him against other people which is not right. He was a nice guy when I first met him but I don’t know about now.”

He believes that there is something wrong with Shatta Wale and prayers can also help to solve his problem.

“Anybody who loves Shatta Wale…we all love him as a brother and musician; they need to pray for him because some people are using him. People are really using the boy to get to other people. That is what I said divide and rule.

There is no way I would say I hate Shatta Wale. I don’t hate any human being, even my enemies I don’t hate them. I love everybody. I respect Shatta Wale but I don’t like his ways now. The guy is moving in the wrong direction and he needs people around him to tell him the truth.”

“All the SM fans you have to pray for your leader. I do not know if he has any bipolar situation. He did not look right on stage when he was insulting us…you people need to think about him as a leader. The guy is talented guy and you need to pray for him. Don’t just be following him and be saying: for life.. for life meanwhile few years to come he will no longer think about you guys again. If you really love Ghana music pray for the boy,” he said.

Shatta has been trending in the news over different reasons, including slapping his bodyguard and his relationship with other artistes. VVIP is the first to come out to say they are boycotting shows with him on bill.
