Kweku Baako Dances…Celebrates Martin Amidu’s Appointment

Former Attorney General, Martin Amidu has been appointed as the country’s first Special Prosecutor pending parliamentary approval.

Kweku Baako reacting to the appointment during a panel discussion on Joy FM’s newsfile programme said: ‘I am tempted to dance’ and followed up with an actual dance; he raised himself a little from his seat, shook his body in jubilation.

“I have had some discussions with people in the NPP who are not very enthused about it. As for our NDC friends, I’ve heard many publicly condemning it. Some are looking at the man and saying: ‘This man is unpredictable, this man is too temperamental, he’s an emotional landmine, he’s difficult to control’, and I say: ‘Well, perhaps, that’s why he’s fit for purpose’,” he added.

If you may recall, this is not the first time Mr Baako has danced in jubilation to something. In November 2016, he danced during a similar panel discussion on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' after the Supreme Court granted Mr Amidu the permission to orally examine businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome, over the wrongful payment of GHS51.2 million to him in a judgment debt.
