Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature passed away earlier this month at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

He was 60 years.

Paying glowing tribute to him during the meet the press encounter; first in the year 2018, at the Flagstaff House, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo said it was sad that Alhaji Bature is no longer around to give strong criticisms and to keep his administration on its toes.

“I am particularly unhappy about the demise of Bature, he was a good opponent and it is sad that he is no longer here to keep me and everything we are doing on our toes. We wish him safe and mercy and rest in the arms of the almighty” he said

He also asked all present at the event to observe a minute silent to journalists who has passed away.
