KUMACA Missing Guns Resurface

THE THREE guns purportedly belonging to the Kumasi Academy Senior High School (KUMACA) in the Ashanti Region that got missing, have resurfaced under bizarre circumstance.

The guns were found in a sack reportedly dumped close to an abandoned toilet facility in the school, some few hours after they had been reported missing by the school.

The sudden resurfacing of the guns raised eyebrows and so the police have given the assurance that they would use scientific approach to unravel those who tried to steal the weapons.

The weapons – two shot guns and one pump action gun – are said to be registered in the name of the headmaster of KUMAKA, although they are said to be the properties of the school.

They have been in the school for several years as they are reportedly used to protect the students, teaching and non-teaching staff and school properties.

So far, the police have arrested four people, including a store keeper in the school, whom they suspect have hands in the missing weapons, to assist in investigations.

ACP Kwaku Buah, the Manhyia Divisional Police Commander, said the school authorities had confirmed that the guns belong to the school.

He said some people tried stealing them and so the police would do all it could to arrest them.
