“Sponsorship Would Come If You Position Yourselves Well” - Fiano

Mr. Kudjo Fiano, Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), has asked Ghanaian clubs to properly position themselves and their administrative affairs well to attract sponsorships for their clubs.

Mr. Fiano made this known in Accra after Dreams FC, signed a one year renewable contract with mybet.com worth GH?250,000 for the upcoming Ghana premier league.

In an interview with GNA Sports Mr. Fiano noted that such sponsorship packages make the league very attractive and competitive, and goes a long way to help the various clubs.

According to him all over the world sponsorships have been very rewarding to both parties involved and its time clubs position well to attract such deals.

“Club management and administrators must strive hard to position themselves in a way to attract the right sponsorship, football is a lucrative work and need investment.

“Every company would like to associate with a serious club, there is no way a company would invest in a deal that would end in wasting money and resources”.

Mr Akomea Kweku Ohemeng-Agyei, Managing Director of Mybet Ghana said the sponsorship was a step in the right direction.

“We know football in Ghana would go a long way if given the needed attention through sponsorship and by that we thought of a club that would give us what we are looking for and we saw that in Dreams FC.

“The sponsorship would help offset some financial burdens for the club as they strive for greater heights, though our deal is not only on monetary grounds but technical support as well,” he added.
