Prophecies About Death Not To Scare People – Prof. Emmanuel Asante

Former Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana Professor Emmanuel Asante Antwi says prophecies about death are just to compliment the word of God and not to scare people.

Since the demise of Ebony, some prophets have emerged claiming to have prophesied her death.

In one of the videos, the head pastor and founder of the True Word Prophetic Fire Ministry located at Achimota mile 7, Prophet Nigel Gaise, emphatically stated that Ebony was going to be killed in an accident and that nothing could save her.

The Prophet said Ebony’s death was going to be like that of late actress, Suzzy Williams, and musician late Terry Bonchaka.

Ebony, real name Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, was returning from Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region when the Jeep she was travelling in crashed into a VIP bus on Thursday evening, according to police.

Ebony was travelling with three other people, of which two have also been confirmed dead. The two include a young lady, and a man later identified as a soldier.

But commenting on the prophesies so far, Professor Emmanuel Asante said prophets should concentrate on preaching the word and stop capitalizing on people’s fear to exhort themselves.

“I think some of these prophecies are not made to scare us but to compliment the word of God. Just because people don’t want to accept the fact that things happen naturally and when they happen like that some of these prophets just use same as an opportunity to dupe them”, he said.
