A 22 year old man's plot to 'assassinate his family' was foiled when police got his parents to play dead.

Russian officers have said they tricked the suspect into believing he had hired an assassin to murder his wealthy parents and ten year old sister- so he could claim his inheritance.
Detectives found out about alleged plot and staged the killing in the family home - even getting his parents to pretend they had been murdered.

The police said they then sent the mock murder scene pictures to the son, who had no idea of the undercover snare.
