Seven persons, including a four-month-old baby, have been confirmed dead in an accident that occurred at Kwame Kwasie near Bole-Bamboi in the Northern Region on Monday midnight.
The accident, involving a Sprinter bus with registration number AS 9342-17 is reported to have burst its tyre and somersaulted several times.
Many of the 19 occupants onboard the vehicles sustained varied degrees of injuries.
The injured people are currently on admission at the Bole Government Hospital while the bodies of the deceased persons have also been deposited at the morgue of the same hospital.
The Bole District Police Crime Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr. Ebenezer Kwaku Darkey who confirmed the incident to the Graphic Online said the District Police Patrol Team chanced on the accident at about 11:30pm on Monday.
He said a preliminary investigation revealed that the sprinter bus which was traveling from Wa to Kumasi was over speeding and lost control after bursting it tyre.
