Wakanda Forever: Nollywood Produces Own Version of Black Panther - (TRAILER)

Nigeria has produced a new movie titled ‘Wakanda Forever,’ a spin-off of the superhero movie, Black Panther.

Black Panther is set in a fictional African nation called Wakanda. ‘Wakanda Forever,’ which has become a global symbol of Black power and solidarity is the salute of the people of Wakanda.

Just about a month of its release, Black Panther has crossed the $1 billion mark in worldwide sales.

Set in a village in Nigeria, Nollywood’s ‘Wakanda Forever 1&2’ tells the story of voodoo with a tinge of humour to explore family and lineage in an African society.

‘Wakanda Forever’ is gradually winning the attention of a global audience desperate to connect with the African continent. It has already hit thousands of views of Youtube.

Marvel’s Black Panther has also received global attention for its great story line and the representation of black power and solidarity.

Already, some movie enthusiasts in Ghana have predicted the production of a Ghanaian version of the movie by the Twi-speaking film industry usually referred to as Kumawood.
