Mario Balotelli has had his say on the recent Kanye West controversy – “who brainwashed you brother?”

The hip-hop artist has courted controversy in recent days with his outspoken support for U.S President Donald Trump, as well as some controversial media figures.

In an interview with TMZ West declared “When you hear about slavery for 400 years… for 400 years? That sounds like a choice”.

That statement attracted widespread condemnation, including from Nice striker Mario Balotelli.

“What is coming out of your mouth,” the Italian international wrote on his Instagram story. “Really? Slavery was by choice? Brother, seriously, who brainwashed you?”
