OmniBank Management and Staff Embark On Health Walk

Management and staff of OmniBank over the weekend took to the principal streets of Accra to embark on a health walk to sensitize workers on the need to adopt healthy lifestyle.

The health walk under the theme: “Promoting A Healthy Lifestyle”, was organized by the Bank to champion the need for staff to exercise regularly to promote healthy living.

For this reason, the bank brought together over 200 of their employees of Greater Accra for about seven-kilometer walk which commenced at Christ the King Parish Hall  through Morning Star School, Police Headquarters to Akufo Addo Round About,  GIS, Cantoment Post Office, Switch Back Road and ended at the Christ the King Parish hall again in aerobics.

Speaking to the Executive Head of Human Resource, Mr. Stephen Takyi Adeakye, he described banking as stressful job and advised bankers to make physical exercise a priority in order to work hard and achieve the vision of the bank.

“We need a healthy mind in a health body to be able to increase productivity for the bank” he emphasized.

Mr. Takyi Adeakye indicated that, the physical well-being of the staff is critical for the bank to create a bond with its staff in order to achieve their 1, 2, 3 strategy for 2018.

“The 1, 2, 3 strategy is to get one million customer accounts, become a second tier bank and have three billion deposits by 2020. We (OmniBank) believed in healthy lifestyle and know when our staffs are healthy, they will be able to translate the company’s objective into a reality” he stated.

Mr. Takyi Adeakye noted that, the health walk was not going to be a nine day wonder but rather a quarterly event to ensure the staff works hard to meet the company's target and deliver good services to its clients.
