Wisa Greid Speaks

Hiplife artiste Wisa Greid, who was recently fined by an Accra Circuit Court for showing his manhood on stage, has disclosed that he almost gave up during his two-year trial.

Wisa was on trial for two years for allegedly showing his manhood on stage at Citi FM’s ‘Decemba2Rememba’ concert in 2015.

In an interview on Let’s Talk Showbiz on Joy News with Doreen Avio, Wisa revealed that the two-year trial almost destroyed his career and life to the extent that he wanted to give up on the court process because it was very frustrating.

The ‘Ekikime’ hitmaker added that he got tired of the several adjournments and at a point didn’t care to end up behind bars.

“Every time I go to court, they will adjourn the case or nothing will happen. I leave my house on the Spintex road, move to Accra and nothing will happen, they won’t call or send a message to let you know if it has been cancelled,” he lamented.

Wisa disclosed that during those hard times, he had support from his family, especially his father and sisters, who encouraged him to go to court always.

Meanwhile, Wisa has released a new song titled ‘Mama KÉ› Dada’, which is already receiving a lot of airplay.

A few days after he was fined for exposing his penis in public, the artiste paid a courtesy call on President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House, together with the CEO of Black Avenue Muzik, D-Black, and music producer/DJ and director of music at Black Avenue Muzik, DJ Breezy.

They visited the president ahead of the official launch of their label on Friday, May 25, 2018.
