Fourteen suspected criminals, made up of 13 men and one woman, were last Friday arrested at Kukuom, Akrodie and Norberkor in the Asunafo South District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.
The operation, which was carried out by the Goaso police, according to the law enforcers, is going to continue till all criminals are weeded out of the district. Dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were retrieved from the suspects.
According to Kinsley Oppong, Brong-Ahafo Regional Police PRO, the suspects would be screened and those found culpable arraigned before court for prosecution. He however, would not disclose their names because he said investigations were ongoing to ascertain their true identities.
