Bishop Lauds Speaker Of Parliament

Founder and Bishop of Word WAY Liberty Church located at Awoshie in the Greater Accra Region, Gladys Owusu, has applauded Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament for kicking against the legalisation of gayism, which has sparked controversy in the country.

In an interview with Today, Bishop Gladys Owusu Asante cautioned government and the general public to desist and detach themselves from the act as its legalisation will be regrettable and suicidal.
According to her, homosexuality was a worse form of taboo that triggers God’s wrath and leaves unquestionable curses on the land and, therefore, should not be entertained or be given so much hype as it has received now.

She said the country will suffer in diverse ways should this ‘abominable’ act be accepted and practiced.

She, therefore, called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and general leadership to ensure that homosexuality does not become legal in the country.

She continued that same sex was a taboo and quoted from the Holy Scriptures to support her claim.

“Leviticus 20:13 says that: ‘If a man also lie with another, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”

She admonished that sermons be preached about the spirit of lust, which dwells in people who want to engage in such ‘abominable act of gayism.’

“It is the spirit of lust within people that needs to be fought out of them with the word of God so should anyone be under pressure to do this, they could be rescued,” she said.
