Pratt After Mahama's Declaration: "Politicians Shouldn't Take Ghanaians For Granted . . . "

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has asked members and supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to embark on a merrymaking expedition over the announcement of Ex-President John Mahama's return to lead the party.

Former President John Dramani Mahama has hinted he will take up the flagbearership position to lead the NDC into elections, come 2020.

Congratulating the leadership of the NDC for their commitment to the party, he wrote on his Facebook wall that he has heeded the calls on him to become Presidential candidate for the party for the second time.

"To you the teeming supporters and sympathizers calling and requesting me to declare my intentions for the future, I wish to assure you today, that as a servant-leader, I have listened to your calls and reflected. I will not disappoint you even as we await the publication of the party’s guidelines for selecting a new leader”, he said.

Kwesi Pratt, commenting on the former President's comeback, welcomed him saying as enshrined in the country's constitution, any individual of sound mind and at the age of 40 years has the right to enter the Presidential race.

He however cautioned the NDC and all poliicians saying "they should not take Ghanaians for granted. Ghana is a very complicated country".
