Boris Kodjoe Made Tourism Ambassador

It was all smiles and ecstasy when Austrian-born actor of German and Ghanaian descent, known for his roles as Kelby in the 2002 film ‘Brown Sugar’, Boris Kodjoe, met Tourism Minister Catherine Afeku Monday morning.

Boris, who was a prominent feature in the Showtime drama series, ‘Soul Food’, and was a recurring character on FOX‘s The Last Man On Earth, paid a courtesy call on the minister of Tourism & Creative Arts.

Little did he know that this would earn him the honour of becoming one of the country’s biggest tourism ambassadors.

This was revealed during a discussion with the minister at her office.

An obviously surprised Kodjoe, who currently co-stars on BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood and on the CBS medical drama ‘Code Black’ could not turn down the offer of becoming a tourism ambassador.

He has since promised to not just invite but bring down other celebrities and actors in the States to Ghana during the diasporan homecoming scheduled to take place in December to help boost tourism in the country.

An excited Catherine Afeku could not help thanking the actor for his decision to accept the offer of becoming a tourism ambassador for Ghana.

She has since promised to do whatever it takes to make the upcoming homecoming a success.
