BOST MD Sues Sammy Gyamfi For GHc 5million Cedis

Chief Executive of the Bulk Oil Storage & Transportation Company (BOST), Alfred Boateng has sued NDC Communicator Sammy Gyamfi for defamation of character at a Kumasi High Court.

The BOST Chief Executive is seeking damages to a tune of GHC 5 million from Sammy Gyamfi who, according to the writ of summons, was on Adom TV making wild allegations against Mr. Alfred Boateng.

According to Mr. Boateng, Sammy Gyamfi addressing an issue on the topic "Double Salary Probe: MPs Must Face The Law If...." on Thursday April 19, 2018 called the BOST MD a "thief" stating that he has been "...stealing at or from BOST however, Martin Amidu had turned a blind eye to that but he is showing interest in the double salary matter..."

Mr. Boateng is praying the court to fine Sammy Gyamfi saying his utterances have seriously besmirched his reputation and he has "suffered considerable distress and embarrassment".

" Plaintiff (Mr. Boateng) faces the likelihood of being relieved of his position as MD of BOST. The corporate image of Approachers Group of Companies has suffered due to the Plaintiff's long association with it".
