Asunafo North gets medical package from its MP

Mr. Robert Sarfo Mensah, Member of Parliament for Asunafo North, has donated assorted medical equipment and electrical items worth GHC 22,000 to the Asunafo North Municipal health directorate. The medical equipment included sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, clinical thermometer, baby hanging scales, delivery beds and infusion giving stands. The electrical items were meter poles, 6MM coil cables, road lamps and some main switches. Mr. Mensah said the package which was in response to an appeal by the directorate was purchased with part of his share of the common fund and assistance from the National Health Insurance Secretariat. He pledged to support the government hospital at Goaso as well as other health facilities in the area. Mr. Mensah said he had made an appeal to the Ministry of Health to provide the Goaso Government Hospital with a laundry machine. Dr. Asemaning Mensah, Municipal Director of Health Services, who received the items thanked the MP for the gesture and said the items would enhance health care delivery. He said the hospital was facing serious accommodation problems and appealed to the government, philanthropists and other benevolent organisations to assist.
