Parliamentary Select Committee On Foreign Affairs Visits Asia, Europe Missions

Members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs are currently visiting the Ghana Missions in Asia and Europe as part of their responsibilities to evaluate the performance of the missions abroad.

The delegation, led by the Chairman of the committee and Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Mr Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has visited Ghana missions in South Korea, Spain, Belgium and France.

The committee is yet to visit Kenya, Nigeria and Rwanda.

It is assessing the performance of each mission in terms of economic diplomacy efficiency, staff welfare, staff attitude to work, efficient consular service and the general interaction with the Ghanaian communities abroad.

The select committee is also using the opportunity to meet foreign companies that are willing to invest in Ghana.

In South Korea, the members met Hundai company for a possible investment in the country.

Other members of the delegation are Mr Kwaku Ampre Twum; Vice Chairman, Mr Francis Dakora, Dr Clement Apaak and Mr Yaw Boamah.
