Effiduase-Asokore MP Cuts Sod For Construction Of Town Roads

The Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore constituency, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie on Thursday, June 7, 2018 cut the sod for the construction of 5km Effiduasi town roads which had been in deplorable state since the days of Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

The project awarded to Knatto Constructions Limited is expected to be completed within a year, the outspoken lawmaker disclosed during the sod cutting ceremony in Effiduase-Asokore.

According to Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the construction is part of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s campaign promise to the people of his constituency after he had briefed the President on the condition of the road which has been neglected for years.

“Let me thank the President for this. Indeed he is a listening President and ready to fulfill all his campaign promises,” he said during the sod cutting ceremony .

“Roads make a crucial contribution to economic development, growth and bring important social benefits. In order to make a nation grow and develop, roads are of vital status. For these reasons, road infrastructure is one of the most important of all public assets,” he said.

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Effiduasi-Asokore constituency who gave him the mandate to serve them as Member of Parliament and promised that his constituency will vote massively for President Nana Addo in the 2020 elections.
