Over 8000 Watch Anas' Football Corruption In Kumasi

The much talked about investigative documentary on corruption in football administration in Ghana by Anas Aremeyaw Anas over the weekend attracted almost 8000 patrons in Kumasi.

The documentary, which was premiered four times on Saturday and Sunday at the Central Classroom Block (CCB) main auditorium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) shocked most of the audience who had the opportunity to watch it.

Organized by Global Productions with Support from various partners such as Star Ghana, Daily Graphic, the Multimedia Group, Ultimate Radio among other media houses, the premiering attracted viewers most of whom were very astonished about the state of affairs in the management of football in the country.

The three shows for the first day (Saturday) attracted 4242 patrons while the second day (Sunday) had 3700 indicating a high patronage, according to Global Productions despite a heavy downpour on Sunday evening.

The two days premiering in Kumasi had police personnel selected from various units in the Ashanti region who were at post to ensure that there was peace and order at the venue for the premiering.

The Manhyia Divisional Commander of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kwaku Boah, who was the leader of the security detail at the venue told Graphic Online that “All the six shows were incident free”.

He commended the various partners who played numerous roles for a successful show in Kumasi.

Apart from the thousands who thronged the CCB auditorium to watch the documentary, some food vendors took advantage of long queues and long waiting time outside the auditorium to make some money although they were occasionally driven away by the security from the KNUST.

Mr Victor deGraft-Etsison, an educationist in an interview eulogized Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his team for the good job done to tell the true story about the state of affairs in football administration in the country.

He reminded all Ghanaians of the need to support the government and other state institutions to restructure the Ghana Football Association and other institutions associated with football administration in the country.
