Muster Courage And Report Insolent Nurses To Their Superiors" – Ghanaians Told

President of Ghana Registered Nurses & Midwives Association (GRNMA), Dr. Kweku Krobea- Asante has called on citizens to muster courage and report nurses who conduct themselves in a rude manner at any health centre; mainly public hospitals.

According to him, since every nurse has his / her tag name on always; patients should at all time note down the names of the nurses they come into contact with at the various hospitals who put up insolent behaviour.

“Do not be afraid to report a nurse to the authority in-charge for he/she will know how to handle the situation in protecting the patient,” he assured.

Speaking on UTV’s Friday special edition of ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Dr. Krobea- Asante categorically stated “under no circumstance must a nurse must be seen idling about whiles on duty”.

He further explained some patients feel unattended to at a particular point because the nurse may be attending to a more pressing issue whiles on duty.

“Even though I don’t doubt the fact that some nurses are rude and use their mobile phones more whiles on duty despite their training against such actions, other nurses work their heart out per the laws of the service”
