Class Exercises Guarantees Examination Success - Examiner

Mr Bernhardt Hesse, an Examiner has said class exercises prepared students for success in examinations and must be taken seriously.

He said such exercises offered opportunities for students to practise exam-type questions and that those, who avoided them finds it difficult during exams.

Mr Hesse said this at a pre-examination summit organised by the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Kpando Senior High School for third year students ahead of this year's final examinations.

"As students you have to pay attention in class and do lots of exercises when you get the opportunity", he stated, adding that teachers were mandated to guide students through the curriculum, especially difficult subjects.

Mr Hesse asked students to concentrate on their studies and read extensively for better vocabularies and good grammar.

Madam Salamatu Nortey, National Coordinator for Mathematics, Ghana Education Service, advised students to work with instructions to questions and produce clear text.

She expressed worry over cheating and asked candidates to produce genuine work to avoid getting their papers cancelled.

The students were offered the opportunity to view at first hand the multiple scanner machine used for marking objective type questions and were educated on common errors students’ make.
