NDC Organizes Unity Talk In Navrongo

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Saturday organized unity talks in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality in the Upper East Region with a call on newly elected executives to work hard to reclaim power from ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

The talks were initiated after the party successfully elected constituency executives to man its affairs and strengthen its support base at the grassroots in the Constituency.

Addressing Party members, Mr Richard Anontara the newly elected Navrongo Central constituency Chairman, congratulated colleague elected executives, and urged them to show commitment, and work diligently to reclaim power from incumbent NPP. “The NDC is the only party that is internally united, and has a strong camp” he added.

He expressed gratitude to the immediate past executives and called on them not to sit on the fence, but bring their experience to bear as part of measures to foster unity and make the party more attractive in the constituency.

According to him, “the super incompetent government, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will be out of power with a huge margin, and the elephant sent back to the bush come 2020”.

Dr Jacob Parethuga Anaonkara a Parliamentary aspirant hopeful, who called for unity among the rank and file of the party, expressed optimism that he would reclaim the Navrongo Central seat from the NPP.

He said the ruling NPP had brought untold hardships to constituents and in the country and further urged the executives to channel their efforts towards uniting the party for a better Ghana.
