Alhaji Short Congratulates The NPP And The Newly Elected National Executives

I wish to congratulate the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for a successful Conference. The party as mandated by our constitution as required to conduct elections to elect new executives from the polling station to the national level to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years, which has been done for the past six months with the climax in Koforidua on 7th July, 2018. I thank God for making us go through our internal elections peacefully.

I extend my warmest congratulations to all the newly elected executives from the polling station to national on their victory. It is indeed a moment of pride for us all as members of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition to once again lead the way in setting the democratic standards for Ghana, Africa and the world by successfully organizing our internal elections within six months.

Specifically, I congratulate Mr. Freddie W. A. Blay, Madam Rita Talata Asobayire, Mr. F. F. Antoh, Mr. Michael Omari-Wadie, Mr. John Boadu, Mr. Abankwa Yeboah, Mr. Sammy Awuku, Madam Kate Gyamfua, Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, and Alhaji Abdul-Aziz Futah on their victory. I have no shred of doubt in your competence to make NPP great and strong. I believe you are going to exert and display quality leadership that will not only win us power in 2020 but also help consolidate our political gains and fortunes for good. I also thank President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, Vice President, Chief of Staff, Government Officials, the Elections Committee, delegates and all members for ensuring a successful internal party elections.

Let me also thank all the out gone party officers for their selflessness and sacrifices in bringing the party into power even in trying times. Your names will forever remain in our hearts for the super efforts. I urge both the losers and the winners to focus on the supreme interest of the party and work assiduously in unity in order to support the President to deliver prosperity to Ghanaians. It is my hope that the party considers other regions with no representation at the national level during the appointment of other national officers to give fair representations to all regions as required by the party’s constitution.

I have always put the New Patriotic Party (NPP) first in all my endeavours, hence I still remain committed to the course of building a stronger NPP and I shall always avail myself to help the elected executives in securing another resounding victory for the party as well as the President’s agenda of a “GHANA BEYOND AID”.

Long live NPP!!!
Long Live Ghana!!!
