Ghana Needs A Marijuana Factory – Blakk Rasta Appeals To Gov’t

Blakk Rasta, a Radio Presenter at Zylofon FM, has appealed to government to legalize marijuana in the country due to its economic and medicinal values.

In an interview with GIJ Online News, he explained the benefits saying “marijuana as it is, it is seen as the king of the forest as lion is seen as king of the forest. Among the plant family marijuana is the king, because with marijuana it has more than ten thousand uses”.

Expounding further, he noted that marijuana could be processed into oil which can be used domestically to light fire, run turbines and engines, and also used for the treatment of cancer among others.

He also clarified that “marijuana is not for smoking only”, therefore proposing to government to consider the establishment of a marijuana factory under its “One District One Factory” project.

“…product like jeans, hair creams, sacks, canvas, among others will be derived from it in order to stop importation”.

He later disclosed he’s written to Parliament to advocate the legalization of marijuana.
