Beauty Pageant Contestants Are Not Supposed To Solicit For Sponsorship Deals — Menaye Donkor

Menaye Donkor, wife of Ghanaian footballer, Sulley Muntari has added her voice to the rots surrounding the organisation Miss Ghana Beauty pageant.

In an interview with Joy News, the beautiful model stated without mincing words that it is not the responsibility of beauty pageant contestants to bring on board sponsorship deals.

Menaye Donkor added that it is never right for organisers of beauty pageants to ask contestants to bring sponsorship deals as part of their role for being contestants and if organisers of Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant askED their contestants to go out there and bring sponsorship deals as reports have it, then they erred.

She continued that she is nOt putting all the blame on the doorsteps of the organisers of Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant since she has not heard from both sides.

The Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant is on shaky grounds as former beauty queens have levelled serious allegations against organisers of the event. Some of the allegations were, exploitation, pimping contestants to ‘big’ men for sponsorship deals and many others.

Currently, the Winner of the 2017 Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant, Miss Margaret Dery has resigned as beauty queen after taking to Twitter to describe the event as a big SCAM.

In a long write-up by Miss Margaret Dery which was exclusively published by Ghanacelebrities.com this morning, the former beauty queen described the CEO of Exclusive Events Ghana, Inna Patty as a monster.
