Ordained Ministers Are Not Exempted From Temptations

Ordained Ministers of the gospel has been reminded that they are not exempted from temptations, but as minsters they should do all within their power to resist all forms of temptations.

“You would be tempted but look up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith to resist temptations in all its forms,” Venerable Jacob Nii Ayi Hammond, Administrative Secretary of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church said at the ordination of three graduates of the St. Nicholas Theological College at Cape Coast and the Cape Coast University at the Koforidua St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral at the weekend.

He however assured the graduates of the grace of God who called them to his service to go through temptations with them and to make them successful to overcome, if only they placed God first in everything they did and were honest to God and themselves.

The three graduates who were ordained by the new Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Right Reverend Felix Kofi Odei Annancy were Rev. Father Bismark Osafo Nyantekyi, Rev. Father Justice Nketia and Rev. Father Paa Kwesi Amissah Bentil.

Venerable Hammond urged the newly ordained priests to search for the maginalised, neglected and the deprived in their congregations, spend time with them and pray with them.

He urged the new priests to live by what they preached to their congregation and be examples for everyone.
