Robbers Kill Security Man

Some unknown robbers have reportedly ended the life of a security man at Baako Yeden, near Obuasi, in the Ashanti region.

The deceased, aged 38, who was identified as Kwaku Addai, was attacked by the robbers whilst he was on duty night.

The robbers broke the neck and the left hand of the hapless-looking Kwaku Addai, after they had tied his hands and legs to his body with a rope. They reportedly made away with a cash of about GH¢10,000 belonging to his employers.

The body of the security man had since been deposited at a morgue in Obuasi as police investigations continue.


A brother of the deceased, who gave his name as Thomas Gyamera, told THE PUBLISHER that the bereaved family is devastated following the Addai’s death, adding that they hoped the security agencies would apprehend and bring the perpetrators to book.

Meanwhile, the Obuasi District Police Commander, DSP Martin Asenso, said the police are suspecting foul play in Addai’s death.

The police capo, however, assured that his outfit would do its best to ensure that the runaway killers are arrested to face the law.
