AMERI Deal: My Brother Is Not A BAD ‘Dog’ To Be Hanged-Kyeremanteng Agyarko Hits Back

Brother of dismissed Minister of Energy and Member of Parliament (MP) Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko suspects that are concerted efforts by some faceless individuals within to dent the hard won reputation of his brother in order to have him ‘crucified’

Mr Agyarko who has distanced himself from any dealings with the AMERI group, is worried about the development and disclosed that the misinformation making the rounds on various social and mainstream media is a grand scheme to bring his brother down.

In a Facebook post on his wall, he said “ My attention has been drawn to some news making the rounds on social media that I,Emmanuel Agyarko,am “ the agent and Ghana representative of the new ‘owners ‘ of the Revised AMERI deal”

That is false. I have no business relationship with the present or past owners of the AMERI plant.

This contrived information is not really targeted at me, but rather a part of a grand and larger scheme to give my brother Boakye a bad name to hang him. But respectfully, and to quote the President, this “dog” will not hang.”

Mr Agyarko was on Monday August 6, 2018 relieved of his duties in a statement issued and signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin.

The statement read “The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has, by letter, dated 6th August, 2018, relieved the Minister for Energy, Mr. Boakye Agyarko, of his position, with immediate effect.

President Akufo-Addo has asked Mr. Boakye Agyarko to hand over his office to the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr. John Peter Amewu, who will act temporarily as Minister for Energy, until a substantive appointment is made. The President wishes Mr. Boakye Agyarko well in his future endeavours”
