New Patriotic Party [NPP] Member of Parliament [MP] for the Manhyia North constituency in the Ashanti Region, Collins Owusu Amankwah says Ghana will not move forward if issues are not properly addressed.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwa specified that indiscipline has crippled this country making it suffer from implementing the rule of law.

“We now have a President ready to take the indiscipline out of the economy for the betterment of our country, therefore, my advice to citizens is to stop criticizing the President on his swift decisions no matter your party colours, religion or clan and instead champion that the right thing is done for Ghana to progress and become a corruption free country,” he said.

“I hear a lot of people agitating that Otiko Afisah Djaba, Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection should be kicked out but to me she is the best ever Minister who has worked in the office she occupies. We are all human and you cannot judge a Minister by their personality, rather the results out of the works required of them,” he added.

To him he doesn’t see Ghana moving to the next level without discipline especially in the government owned sectors.

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party John Boadu has said that an upcoming reshuffle has been necessitated due to the vacancy at the Energy Ministry.

According to him, finding a replacement for Mr. Boakye Agyarko who was sacked last Monday over the botched renegotiated AMERI deal will mean some Ministers will be moved around ministries, and in the process some will be booted out completely.

“What will be done really is not a full-scale reshuffle, it’s just a limited one. What I’m saying is what will be done will be a limited one as a result of the vacancy occurring at the Energy Ministry,” he said on TV3’s morning magazine show, New Day.
