Pilgrims And Stakeholders Of Hajj Commend President Akufo-Addo And Dr. Bawumia

Pilgrims and key stakeholders of Hajj have commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for their continuous support to the activities of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana which paved way for it to conduct a successful Hajj operation, this year.

The pilgrims, in an interview at the Hajj Village yesterday in Accra made the commendation when this reporter went round to interact and solicit the views and opinions of the last batch of pilgrims at the Hajj Village in Accra.

The pilgrims and the stakeholders of Hajj also lauded the Vice Chairman of the Hajj Board, who is also the Financial Director, Alhaji Farouk Hamza, for the major role he played during the Hajj pilgrimage by making the welfare of the pilgrims his priority, and called for more prayers and Allah’s protection for him and for more prosperous Hajj operations next year.

The pilgrims expressed their satisfaction to the Hajj board for being on top of their job by meeting the demands and basic needs of over 5,000 pilgrims from different backgrounds, adding that the Hajj board under the leadership of Sheikh I.C. Quaye ensured the protection of pilgrims during difficult times (the handling of luggage).

The pilgrims also expressed appreciation to all the agents, the communication team, the task force, the security agencies and the Hajj Medical team for ensuring a highly commended and successful 2018 Hajj operation.

They appealed to the Hajj board to maintain its relations with the airlines due to the good services they enjoy from the management and staff of the airline.

The pilgrims advised the board to educate prospective pilgrims, especially the first time pilgrims on difficulties in Hajj, to prepare their minds that Hajj pilgrimage was not a funfair or luxurious tour but a journey of stress.

They also called on the board to educate pilgrims on the need to comply with luggage issues to avoid unnecessary delays that the Pilgrims claimed was part of the challenges encountered with the first time pilgrims.

They further commended the Hajj Board Chairman, Sheikh I.C. Quaye, the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Farouk Hamza, the Communication team led by Dr Abubakar Sidiq, Hajiya Mariam Sissy and the Hajj Medical team for their patience, comportment, especially their orderliness before , during and after the Hajj operation in Ghana and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
