Tickle Yourself & Laugh . . . We'll Surely Fix Your Mess! Gideon Boako Jabs Mahama

Dr Gideon Boako, Spokesperson to the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, has conceded Ghanaians are going through challenging times, but stresses that it is a result of the mess created by the Mahama-led NDC government.

He has however given the assurance that with the injection of the $2billion from the Sinohydro deal, the country's economy will become buoyant with massive infrastructural projects, the order of the day.

" . . most road networks across the country will be fixed, some will be repaired, whiles new ones are going to be built with flyovers.

"Our economy is also going to receive a major boost when the $2bn capital is injected. This government is on track and we going to fix every mess created by the erstwhile Mahama regime even if Ghanaians give us a four year mandate," he confidently stated.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia programme, he added the NPP government is focused and will not be distracted by what the opposition says or does.

According to him, the success chalked by the current administration is quite remarkable as no government has within its first two years, rolled out better social and economic policies than what is being witnessed.

"No government, not even former President Kuffour government achieved what he we achieved in our last 2years.

"Under former President John Agyekum Kuffour, most  major policies like the Health insurance, the metro mass and other interventions were introduced during his last two (2) years in office.

"But looking at the Nana Addo led NPP government, most major policies have been implemented to alleviate the suffering and hardship parents go through to even access quality education for their children. We have been able to achieve more than what the Mahama led NDC regime could not achieve with its four to eight years in power," he added.

Former President John Mahama who is seeking re-election, recently took a swipe at the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), for what he says is their penchant for lies in order to win power.

He noted that, after assuming power for nearly half of its four-year term; those promises are yet to be fulfilled, while Ghanaians continue to face hardships in their daily living.

You can engage in, and tell all the lies to win political power, when you are in government the reality of peoples' lives will expose you,” the former president tweeted.

But Dr. Boako advised the former president to stay away from contesting the 2020 elections since he (Mahama) has nothing new to bring to the table.

"If former President Mahama was my brother, I would have advised him to stay away and not contest the 2020 elections because, he has nothing new to offer Ghanaians.

"It will further dent his image and reputation as a revered statesman," he added.
