Fast Track Investigation & Prosecute Mahama For The Diversion of $175m Hospital Monies Into NDC Campaign
I write to request the Special Prosecutor to use his high office to fast track investigations and subsequent prosecution of Ex President Mahama and his then deputy minister of Health, Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunnoo, for their alleged involvement in the divertion of loans acquired to build hospitals into NDC's campaign and re-election research.
Though the former President has the penchant of siphoning states resources, I find this new development quite difficult to comprehend, how would ex-President Mahama have had the guts to divert a portion of a loan facility acquired to build hospitals to save lives into his re-election research and campaign?
It's unacceptable and I turn to ask, 'what wrong did Ghanaians do by making you, Mr. Mahama President'? Because each time I reflect on all these forms of allegations of inflating contracts sum of projects, diversion of funds, gross mismanagement of our economy and higher degree of corruption, I accept a lot of people’s assertion that, ex President Mahama is the worst and the most unfortunate President in Ghana's history.
On this matter, Mr. Rojo Mettle Nunoo, the former Deputy Health Minister has confessed Ex President Mahama allegedly ordered that a portion of the loan facility be diverted into NDC's re-election research and campaign. A confession we must take it seriously as a country.
Sometimes, I'm baffled with such forms of insensitivity, considering the high deficits we face as a country in the service delivery of our health care sector. So the least I expected to hear is these forms of cruelties and verified allegations.
In the time past, some allegations have been swept under the carpet, a trend that must be discontinued and discouraged.
So, in all humility, Mr. Special Prosecutors, I ask your respected office to investigate and prosecute Ex President Mahama and all culprits involved in diverting loans acquired by the country into NDC's re-election research and campaign.
I must let you know, I have an unshakeable trust in the commitment of President Akufo Addo and your office to fight corruption and in this order, I urge you to fast track investigations and prosecution, because these corrupt persons must be dealt with.
