Enoch Adu Unhappy With Black Stars Selection Procedures By Kwesi Appiah

The midfielder has expressed his unhappiness over being ignored for games by the Black Stars handlers.

Ghana midfielder Enoch Kofi Adu has voiced his frustration for not having the opportunity to make a return to the Black Stars.

The 28-year-old, who has been impressive for Swedish giants AIK, has not been invited by coach Kwesi Appiah who took over from Avram Grant in 2017.

"It’s frustrating how Kwesi Appiah and his technical team have been ignoring me over the years. However, I’m still waiting patiently for my time,” Adu told Metro FM.

"Sometimes, people suggest that my absence from the Black Stars may be as a result of my relationship with the handlers but I don’t think I need to have friends in the technical team before I should be given a call-up when I obviously deserve it," he said.

"National team call-ups are done basically on form. I have played almost every game for my club this season and the few matches I even missed were through suspensions.

"Since the call-up to the national team is in the hands of Kwesi Appiah currently, I am looking up to him for opportunities in the future because I will continue to do my best at club level,” he added.

Adu made his international bow in 2016 against South Africa after replacing Majeed Waris.
