Rainbowradioonline.com has intercepted a letter which, has been addressed to the National Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic (NPP), calling on him to put in place measures to prevent Koku Anyidoho from winning the General Secretary position in the upcoming November 17, 2018 internal National Democratic Congress (NDC) polls.

The letter which was written by the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako aka Chairman Wontumi, called on the National Chairman, Freddie Blay, to adopt measures to prevent Mr Anyidoho from winning because his election as chief scribe of the NDC, will affect the chances of NPP.

"Koku Anyidoho proved he can whip the people in line to support and win a cause. Not only is he still lurking around, but he has grown to become one strong pillar in our body politics. Therefore, the NPP I suggest must put resources into the NDC elections, buy the delegates and make sure they vote against Koku Anyidoho’s ambition.’’

The leaked letter further suggested to the party to start an operation to financially push through this agenda.

"I am prepared to financially support this venture, and I ask that that the national also commit resources into it to make sure we achieve this aim.’’

MEMORANDUM

FROM: THE ASHANTI REGIONAL NPP CHAIRMAN

TO: NATIONAL NPP CHAIRMAN

SUBJECT: NPP MUST PREVENT KOKU ANYIDOHO FROM BECOMING NDC NATIONAL SECTRETARY.

DATE: 6/11/2018

The opposition National Democratic Congress will on Saturday, 17th November, 2018, goes to the polls to elect it's National executives to manage the party for the next four years, and especially, to help fight for an impossible return to the corridors of power in 2020 general elections.

Inasmuch as the 2020 election is up for grabs by the NPP, the government and for that matter, the ruling party cannot afford to fade it's interest in their elections as the kind of persons elected may have a direct bearing on our chances in 2020 and beyond.

One position that we need to have our focus and interest on, is that of their National Secretary job; and how to prevent Koku Anyidoho from assuming that position.

For us political activists, we cannot in anyway sweep under the carpet, the youthful effect and vibrancy of Anyidoho in an election; he is someone who clearly have the connection with the grassroots. And such a person must not be allowed to have his way to become the chief scribe of the opposition party.

In my view as the Ashanti regional chairman of our party, it is time to decide the NDC again as we have done previously.

Let me, however, commend your office, for the support you gave when I suggested an operation against the candidature of Mr. Brogya Genfi, who was vying for the post of National Youth Organizer of the NDC. In my earlier Memo, I asked for your support to get the NDC vote against the former Ashanti regional NDC Youth Organizer and thankfully, you support made it possible.

We must ensure we infiltrate the opposition party and help the choose our choice.

It is a fact that the National Secretary of a political party plays very critical role in winning an election. And in this case, we have to do needful and ensure we push the NDC retain the old face-Johnson Asiedu Nketia.

Working to force them retain Aseidu Nketia is our plan and we must make sure we prosecute this agenda effectively.

This gentleman, Anyidoho, has what it takes to cause substantial damage to our quest to retain power, particularly, the youth bracket, as he generally appeals to them.

It is important to refresh our memories and to know the capabilities of this Koku Anyidoho, who is the current deputy secretary to the opposition party, and also to let remind you of the threats he posses to our chances.

At the time when all hope were lost and gone; when even the party bigwigs had all given up on late candidate John Evans Atta Mills, it took Koku Anyidoho to rally the youth behind Mills to win the 2008 elections.

Koku Anyidoho proved he can whip the people in line to support and win a cause.

Not only is he still lurking around, but he has grown to become one strong pillar in our body politics.

And, this is the kind of a character we need to prevent.

Therefore, the NPP, I suggest, must put much resources into the NDC election, buy the delegates and make sure they vote against Koku Anyidoho's ambition.

As a regional chairman, I propose we start an operation to financially push through this agenda.

I'm prepared to financially support this venture, and I ask that the national also commit resources into it to make sure we achieve this aim.

We are not in anyway suggesting their leadership will cause havoc, but we must not take chances in this regard.

God bless our great NPP and Ghana.

Thank you.
