2018 NAFAC Postponed indefinitely

This year’s National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC) has been postponed indefinitely.

No reasons were given by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts for the postponement of the event which was to take place in Koforidua in the Eastern Region between November 14 and 17.

Celebrated biennially, NAFAC has over the years created a grand platform for the showcasing of Ghana’s rich diverse cultural heritage and talents while promoting peaceful co-existence among Ghanaians.

The event projects Ghanaian culture through art, music, food, and clothing amongst other things peculiar to the Ghanaian people.

This year’s event is themed “Empowering the Youth Through Culture, Tourism & Creative Arts For Employment & Wealth Creation”.

“The Ministry regrets to announce to the general public and stakeholders that the scheduled programme has been postponed,” a statement issued Tuesday said.

It said a new date would be communicated in due course and apologized for any inconvenience the postponement may cause them.

In July, a 30-member national planning committee was inaugurated to put together programmes and activities that can bring the theme to bear positively on the target beneficiaries.
