Akufo-Addo Testing Popularity With Greater Accra Tour

President Akufo-Addo, is expected to test his approval rating by beginning a tour of the Greater Accra region from Tomorrow Tuesday, December 4, to Thursday December 6, 2018.

The President’s popularity, has taken a nosedive as reports of mass unemployment, collapse of banks, failed campaign promises, corruption and general economic hardship, continue to make the headlines.

The tour will take the President to a number of constituencies, including Krowor, Tema East, La Dadekotopon, Korle Klottey, Adentan, Okaikoi South, Odododiodoo, Ablekuma South, Ablekuma Central, Anya Sowutuom and Bortianor/Engleshie/Amanfro, mainly holding durbars with the traditional rulers and other opinion leaders.

Although, many have said there is there nothing for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to show, President Akufo-Addoa, as part of his tour, will inspect ongoing projects under the one-district-one factory such as Entrance Pharmaceuticals and Research Centre, Sunda, and Everpure.

Other projects include ,Tema motorway roundabout construction which was started by the John Mahama administration, concrete road at Tema Industrial area and construction of Madina-Adentan highway footbridges, which are yet to be started.

Others are, Accra railway construction, construction of Jamestown Harbour and construction of 25 affordable housing project.

The President will also cut sod for the construction of Tema-New-town roads. It is not clear, why the President will not inspect the 1500 housing units Saglemi Housing Project.

But Nana Akufo-Addo, will also commission the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) office complex, accident and burns centre at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital.

These two projects were started by the John Mahama government, were at various levels of completion.
