University Of Ghana And Gimpa SRC To Hold Remembrance Service For The Late Kyeremanteng Agyarko

The Students Representative Councils of the University of Ghana and GIMPA will on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, hold special remembrance service For the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.

In a statement copied to peacefmonline.com, the Students of both institutions will recount the priceless efforts of the late Member of Parliament over the years in supporting the education of many students from the University of Ghana and GIMPA particularly .

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, died in the states where he had gone to seek medical care.

Sources close to the family and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), said Mr. Agyarko, 61, died, Wednesday, November 21, in the United States of America after a long illness.

The late MP went to the States to seek medical care after his condition was stabilized at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

As a member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Agarko has been the MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency since 2012, after he replaced the current Chief  of Staff, Frema Opare as MP for the area.

Students of both institutions recount the priceless efforts of the late Member of Parliament over the years in supporting the education of many students from the University of Ghana and GIMPA particularly .

They point to the special scholarship program Hon. Agyarko instituted in his office and how it became the 'lender of the the last resort' for many undeprevileged students.

The rememberance service will be held at *Business School Auditorium(R.S Amegashie)* on Wednesday, 5th December 2018 at 5.30pm
