December 7 Is A Statutory Public Holiday

The Minister of the Interior, has declared Friday December 7, as a statutory Public Holiday and urged the public across the country to observe it as such.

This was contained in a statement, issued by the Ministry, on Wednesday, and signed by Mr Ambrose Dery, the Minister.

The first Friday in December has been set aside to honour farmers and fishermen for their efforts in feeding the nation and contributing immensely towards the growth of the national economy.
