UGBS-ED Opens Registration For Their Short Courses From February 2019

The University of Ghana Business School Executive Development (UGBS-ED) has announced the introduction of its’ short courses from February 2019, to ensure that participants acquire new skills and increase efficiency on the job to meet industry needs in the face of stiff global competition.

The new programs such as Warehouse and Inventory Management, Effective Leadership in Management and Administration, Accounting for Non - Accountants, Supply Chain Management, Effective Office Management and Administration, How To Become an Effective Personal Assistant,  Procurement Management, Logistics and Transport Management, Effective  Front Desk Management Effective Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior Management among others are expected to help bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Speaking on the programmes, the Coordinator Prof. Kwesi  Amponsah- Tawiah from the Organisation and Human Management (OHRM) Department said, “The three (3) to four (4) day courses will focus on key elements of the various business and organisational areas with the aim of improving best practices to impact profitability and development.

He explained that “The courses are designed to help participants grow their knowledge base, acquire new skills and increase efficiency on the job whilst interacting with other business professionals”.  

He stressed that “Although we already find ourselves in the practical field, it is also important that we refresh our knowledge and skills through these short courses to be abreast with current happenings in different economies (Ghana and beyond)”.   

According to him, the courses are delivered by well experienced lecturers and experts, and are open not only to Ghanaian participants but also to foreigners who aspire to develop themselves and their organisations. He said “UGBS-ED has chosen courses that are job or professional related to make participants independent after completing the programme.”

He further urged management of businesses and organisations, both public and private as well as individuals to enroll on UGBS-ED short courses in order to help them improve in their respective operations.

“Participants will also benefit from course materials which we believe will support them in their work even after the courses. We encourage people to discover themselves by participating in these courses,” he said.

Registration for the courses is currently open and lectures start from 5th February to 28th March, 2019 after which participants will receive certificates upon completion.
