BAG inaugurates Ashanti Regional Badminton Executive members

The Badminton Association of Ghana ( BAG), has inaugurated a ten member management team to form the Executive Board of the Ashanti Regional Badminton Association.

The Ashanti Regional Executive Board, becomes the seventh Regional Executive Body of BAG, to be inaugurated.

Mr. Yeboah Evans, President of BAG inaugurated the management team, who would serve as the Local Governing Council for the Association.

They newly formed Executive Body, led by Mr. Victor Dwumaah Nuako, have been given a four year mandate to spearhead the development and promotion of badminton in the region.

The new Executive Members of the Regional Association, would be responsible for the development and promotion of Badminton at the grass-root level in the region and are expected to work in collaboration with the Regional National Sports Authority (NSA) and other relevant local authorities to achieve this feat.

The Executive Members are also expected to ensure that every badminton sports club of the region complies with the rules and regulations for the promotion of the sport.

Mr Yeboah, said he was confident the Executive Members would work hard to ensure that, the Association was run professionally in the region, in the growth of increasingly popularity for the sport.

He urged them to make the sport popular and attractive to all and sundry in the region.

Mr. Dwumaah Nuako, on behalf of the Board, thanked the BAG president for the confidence reposed in them and assured that, the Regional Board would work assiduously to ensure the sport was developed and promoted in the region.

Other members of the Board are Mr. Alan Mensah (Vice-Chairman), Mr Sadique Boateng (Secretary), Madam Ivy Emefa Addai (Treasurer), Joseph Acquah (NSA rep) and Prince Sakyi (GES rep)

The rest are Mr Moses Seidu (International Schools rep),Mr. Dominic Bakantiche ( Athletes rep), Mr. Godfred Kwarteng ( Clubs rep) and Mr Azumah Salih Mohammed (Para Badminton rep).
