The National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah has asked the general public to disregard reports purporting that the defunct gold dealership firm, Menzgold, sponsored his campaign ahead of the party's annual general delegates' conference held in July 2018.

The company is said to have sponsored his campaign with an amount of $10,000.

Reacting to the issue, he believed his detractors are behind the claims and are on a mission to tarnish his reputation stating emphatically he has never taken a penny from Menzgold.

"I have never taken any money from Nana Appiah Mensah and his firm, Menzgold...I don't even know him not to talk of meeting him for sponsorshp. 

To the best of my knowledge neither I nor the party recieved anything from him ahead of the annuel general delegates conference held in Koforidua last year...beleive me, my  hands are clean." he stressed.
